Its been a while since I last posted anything here, so what better time than 2am in the morning, 2 months since my last message, after a meal and a glass or two of wine!

On the 11th May ‘08 close to 1,000 people attended the annual Cudeca Walkathon.

Within that group of people was me! and some fmaily and friends. if you look closely at the photo below, I think you can just about see the back of my head! Also in the photo are my parents (Sandra and Graham), Charlie and Rachel (Friends of mine), and family friends (Felicity, Anne and Cliff)

Normally a view we expect to see in August, but this year we have started to see it as early as the end of March. Within easy distance of the house there have been 3 fires in a single afternoon, 2 of them easily visible from the house and one hiding behind a hill. Below is a photo of the nearest one, if you look closely you can see the helicopter dropping water over the fire.

It might not look big compared to the fires last year in Greece, but the fact that a fire can take hold so easily and so early on in the season makes me wonder what the summer is going to be like…

Its times like this that make me wonder why some people choose to inhale toxic chemicals…

A family friend is lying in hospital as I’m typing this dying from Lung cancer.

I know everyone has the choice to live their life the way they want to, but surely an early death is not the choice to make?
